ÖZ

Socialization of women process have led to some biyolojik, psychologic, social, cultural health problems. In providing sensitive and sympathetic health care of women, it is necessary to understand the many forces shaping women's behavior. Women's heritage, including their history through the progress of civilization, their current socialization and the milieu in which they live are all components of which the health provider should be aware. While it is invalid to assume that an individual woman possesses a certain general characteristics, knowledge of the broad factors which affect contemporary women adds an important dimension to women's health care. Each Women encountered by the health practitioner needs an individualized approach. The trusts in one woman's life may be inapplicable to another and the sources of problems and conflicts are quite varied. With this in mind, a framework can be established to examine the socialization of women and the significance of women's roles and identity to the provision of health care.
