Manuscript Submission Guideline
Manuscript Submission Guideline
SAD/JSR accepts articles that are written in English or Turkish. In each article, the title and abstract in the language in which the article will be published should be included in the first place and followed by the title and abstract in the other publication language of the article. The abstract of the article should not exceed 300 words in both languages. Articles may be up to 9000 words including the main title in Turkish and English, abstract in Turkish and English, the main text, keywords and bibliography.
Keywords should follow both texts, and should not exceed five keywords. When the manuscript is accepted, an extended summary between 1200-1500 words should be attached to the end of the article, and must be in English for the articles that are written in Turkish or vice versa. Please see the example below.
Example:

The entire manuscript should be double-spaced, justified; the page margins for left, top, bottom and rights should be adjusted to 2,5 cm. The font of the entire manuscript should be Times New Roman, with font size 14 for the main heading and 12 for the main text and subheadings. The headings should be bold and aligned to left.
First level headings should all be capitalized. As for the second and third level headings, only the first letter of each word should be capitalized and the rest should be written in lowercase.
Conjunctions such as "and, or, with, the, a/an" in the second and third level headings should be written in lowercase. All headings should be bold.
Headings should be numbered as follows:
MAIN TITLE
- INTRODUCTION
- Heading 1
1. Subheading 1
2. Subheading 2
3. Heading 2
4. CONCLUSION
5. REFERENCES
SAD/JSR uses “APA 6.0” for referencing and articles should be prepared for submission accordingly. Author(s) should ensure the compatibility of the in-text citations and end-of-text bibliography. It is recommended to use bibliography and citation tools such as Mendeley, Zotero and EndNote.
At the end of the article, the author(s) should provide “Statement on the Contributional Proportions of the Researchers” and, if any, “Acknowledgments” and “Statement on Conflict of Interest”. If the research upon which the submitted article is based is supported by an institution, the author(s) should clearly state this support.
If the articles are presented in a scientific event orally or visually, the name, date and place of the meeting should be stated.
All responsibility of the published articles belong the author(s) and the publication rights and copyright of the articles accepted for publication belong to the Journal. For that reason, articles accepted for publication in the SAD/JSR will be published after the author(s) sign and submit the “Copyright Transfer Agreement”.
The text that will be sent to the referees should not contain the informations on writers’ names, institutional addresses, contact informations including mobile phones and e-mails, and project informations (if the article is an output of a project). These informations will be sent through to the journal as the “Article Submission Document” with the short bios of the authors.
We ask you to suggest three referees who are experts in their fields, that you consider eligible for reviewing your article. Please acknowledge any conflict of interest that may arise as well. If the names you suggested are deemed appropriate by the editorial board, your article may be sent to them for review.
Completely anonymized article text and Article Submission Document should be sent to the sosder@gmail.com e-mail address with the subject line organized in the following order: “Name and Surname of the first author – The article I wish to submit to the Journal of Sociological Research”.
E-mail subject line e.g.: “Birsen Gökçe - The article I wish to submit to the Journal of Sociological Research”
