About the Journal

Journal of Sociological Research (SAD/JSR) is a national, refereed journal that is being published by the Sociological Association of Turkey since 1997, with the objective of raising interaction among social scientists in Turkey, spreading the information produced by them, setting a standard in academic research and carry the sociological researches conducted in the country towards the international literature. The journal had been published as a single-volume comprised of two issues in 1999 and since 2000 it is being published biannually in Spring (April) and Autumn (October). Beginning from the Spring issue of 2010, the SAD/JSR is being published as a biannual online journal embracing a commitment to open-access policy.

While the former ISSN of the journal was 1302-4426, it took up the ISSN of 2148-9947 after turning online. The SAD/JSR contractually joined the TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM DergiPark with its archive. The articles that are published in the journal receive DOI numbers through this system and the entire content is accessible through the DergiPark page, http://sosyolojidernegi.dergipark.gov.tr/sosars and the journal website, https://sosyolojidernegi.org.tr/dergi/.
